Visionary Featured in Capital Gazette Article

Visionary Comics was featured in an article by Capital Gazette about print and digital comics coexisting in a new market.

The article features an interview with Publisher C. Edward Sellner and discusses the role Visionary plays in the production of digital media.

“Visionary Comics’ staff is split into two factions — digital publishing and production studio. On the digital end, the company seeks finished work that can be fine-tuned. On the production end, the staff does work for hire, such as adapting work into screenplays, comics or novels. It is made up of a staff of 11 — including five interns — working on their own with various telephone and face-to-face meetings.

Some of their most popular titles are “Headlocked,” which follows a college dropout who aims to be a professional wrestler, and “Deadlands,” a horror western series featuring monsters and cowboys. The staff recently raised more than $20,000 through Kickstarter, an online fundraising program, to launch a second wave of the “Deadlands” series.”
